Rowan Tejura

Founder and Coach

Experience

I founded the company in 2020 with the aim to improve the standard of young hockey players in the North of England.

As a coach I have coached in various settings from School first XI's to University Performance squads. In addition to this, I have a number of years experience working in residential activity camps and hope to bring both experiences together to deliver outstanding hockey camps.

My Coaching Philosophy

The game is the best coach.

This is key to all my coaching and I aim to deliver sessions that represent the game that we play. Therefore there is a strong emphasis on small sided games tailored to specific hockey principles with a constraints led approach.

Jacob Van Bentum

Specialist GK Coach

Jacob leads our GK provision at RT Hockey.

Currently the 1st XI GK at Wakefield HC, Jacob has vast experience playing in the national league and northern premier league, both with Wakefield HC and Brooklands MU as well as representing Lancashire in the county championship.

Jacob has many years of experience of coaching GK's through his work within the player pathway as GK coach for the JAC system working with talented young goalkeepers in the region. In addition to this he  is currently also coaching the GK's at Wakefield HC.

Jacob will be available for both 1-2-1 coaching as well as leading the provision for our GK's within our camps.

Ben Collinson

RT Hockey is happy to include Ben Collinson as part of the coaching team.

Ben is a proven goal scorer and it will be great to have him leading goal scoring workshops on our camps.

Ben is currently playing 1st XI hockey at Oakham school. He has vast experience playing in schools and clubs national finals with Oakham school and Harrogate hockey club. He was the top goal scorer in the 2019 and 2020 Jaffa indoor super 6’s for Harrogate u16 and u18 respectively.

He also captained England u16’s during the 2018/2019 season who played test series against Holland, Germany, Ireland, Scotland and Belgium. He led the team to success at the Home nations finals to capture gold against strong England DISE teams, Ulster and Scotland. He has also been a part of the outer team this season with the u18 team.

He also brings us experience from National league as a member of the University of Nottingham 1st XI squad and works with some of the best coaches in the country.

He brings us strong tactical knowledge from top English teams and the England set up, along with overseas teams, such as Belgium, Germany and Holland. Ben will also bring strong technical knowledge, especially in regards with goal scoring.
